The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion mod - The Oubliette - Daedra Lords

The Oubliette is a mod for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion . The eighth door leading from the main chamber of The Oubliette leads to areas themed after some of the evil Daedric Lords/Princes . In addition to being anywhere from harrowing to hard, the landmine -riddled Vaermina run in this area suffers from a bug where being hit too many times by the fire turrets can cause your character to freeze up, necessitating a reload of a saved game.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion mod - The Oubliette - Restless Dreams

The Oubliette is a mod for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion with generally good horror-setting style environments and good use of eerie and startling sound effects. We also had Martigen's Monster Mod installed, and as a result, some of the creatures seen in these screenshots will not be in the mod itself. Restless Dreams has light fighting and is more focussed on obliquely telling a story that hints of a love triangle that ends in tragedy. There are some neat horror-ambiance effects here, such as reanimating skeletons only when the character's back is turned to them.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion mod - The Oubliette - Tomb of Unrest

The Oubliette is a mod for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion . The "Tomb of Unrest" area has a few small rooms, all of which the player must pass through. Each room tries to emphasize various fearful situations. One of the most effective is landing in a cell with just one lockpick (if the player had any to begin with) and one chance only to successfully pick a difficult lock or be stuck "forever" in an abandoned jail (to the extent possible in a game where you can simply reload and try again)..

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion mod - The Oubliette - Erehwon

The Oubliette is a mod for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion . The fifth door from the main chamber of The Oubliette leads to "Erehwon" (Nowhere). This irritating area is a small maze made difficult by not allowing mapping, trees that obscure vision, and some deadly traps that can require quick thinking.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion mod - The Oubliette - Crossing Halls

The Oubliette is a mod for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion . The area called "Crossing Halls" feels sadly under-developed: At some point we have to pick up someone's life force in order to reveal an exit, but this sequence somehow lacks depth or emotional impact to make it much different from taking a key out of a cupboard.
