Neverwinter Nights 2 - Human

Fantasy game art from Neverwinter Nights 2 . Humans in Toril are widespread, can be found in most regions and, in general, are fierce and disagreeable, which can sometimes lead certain other races to view them with contempt. They are renowned for their diversity and ambition, and although they lack specialization, they can excel in many areas.

Neverwinter Nights 2 - Strongheart Halfling

Fantasy game art from Neverwinter Nights 2 . The strongheart halflings are, like the ghostwise and lightfoot hin , native to Luiren. They trace their ancestry back to the same long-lost days as the other subraces, but unlike their cousins, the stronghearts elected to remain in their homeland following the events of the Hin Ghostwar. The legacy of Chand, the strong-heart war chieftain who galvanized his tribe against the threat of the feral ghostwise, lives on today in a nation that both reinforces and defies many of the expectations nonhalflings have of this race. Before the 3rd Edition of Dungeons and Dragons, halflings were basically chubby Tolkienian hobbits , or at least generally stout-looking. Starting with the 3rd Edition, they became scaled-down humans in general appearance.

Neverwinter Nights 2 - Lightfoot Halfling

Fantasy game art from Neverwinter Nights 2 . Lightfoot halflings are the most common type of halflings seen in the world, in large part due to their famous wanderlust, which sets them apart from the relatively sedentary ghostwise and strongheart halflings . Lightfoots are most comfortable living alongside other cultures, even adopting their cultural practices, right down their deities. Before the 3rd Edition of Dungeons and Dragons, halflings were basically chubby Tolkienian hobbits , or at least generally stout-looking. Starting with the 3rd Edition, they became scaled-down humans in general appearance.

Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale - Cutscenes

Fantasy artwork from Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale There are five in-game movies / cutscenes that either give background information or advance the story to the next area. The final movie appears after the credits, and has an unexplained far-future sci-fi post-apocalyptic look to it.

Neverwinter Nights 2 - Half-Orc

Fantasy game art from Neverwinter Nights 2 . Half-orcs are humanoids born of both human and orc ancestry by a multitude of means. Combining the physical power of their orcish ancestors with the agility of their humans ones, half-orcs can be formidable individuals. Though often shunned in both human and orcish society, though for different reasons, half-orcs have proven themselves from time to time as worthy heroes and dangerous villains. Their existence implies an interesting back story that most would not like to dwell on. Neverwinter Nights 2 is based on the 3rd Edition of Dungeons and Dragons, where half-orcs look more orc than human , or definitely more bestial in appearance. The 4th Edition of Dungeons and Dragons reversed this to make them more human-looking than orc, although key features, such as the underjaw tusks, continue to be prominent.

Neverwinter Nights 2 - Half-Elf

Fantasy game art from Neverwinter Nights 2 . Half-elves , as usually defined, are humanoids born through the union of an elf and a human. Whether a half-elf is raised by their human parent or their elven parent, they feel isolated and alone. Because they take around twenty years to reach adulthood, they mature quickly when raised by elves (who think they look like humans), making them feel like an outsider in either place. Typically the elven parent is a Moon Elf, the elven subrace most tolerant of humankind . Even though there are other types of elves, there is generally no further distinction made, except for half-drow .
